The largest stadium in the English Premier League and one of the most storied soccer venues across the world now has a new designation focused on cleanliness and hygiene. Manchester United’s Old Trafford becomes the largest venue in the world to earn the EcolabECL -3% Science Certified seal for cleanliness, aimed at giving fans, staff and players a hygiene-approved environment.
“The partnership is about cleanliness, it is about sanitization on the back of the pandemic,” says Gary Hebblewhite, Manchester United’s head of group property services. “The scale of clean and sanitization went up 100-fold and we want to really reassure fans we are in a good position and have made sure we have a safe environment.”
